Upflow Carbon Whole Home Filters
Upflow carbon filters are a very cost effective way to purify the water for a whole home. By flowing water through the filter in the upflow direction, the system does not need to backwash. This eliminates the expensive control valve mechanism and eliminates the drain line associated with similar systems. We offer two systems - one for city water treated with chlorine, and one built with catalytic carbon which is necessary for water treated with chloramine. The catalytic carbon unit is a more effective and longer lived system even for water treated with chlorine and is what we suggest for most homes.
